Unhappy Transmission help

Alright guys, I have a feeling like my tranny may be slowly slipping. I need some advice.
What are the tranny's that I can use and how much power do they hold?
If any one has a list of these, that would be great

(e.g.)
Sn95? automatic 200+

Well you can use the A4LD, C3, T5, or M5OD

Do you want auto or manual?

I would go T5, but mainly 'cause it will be the cheapest and best way to gain some mpg. Rebuilding the A4LD is way too much money just for a basic rebuild, when you get into overhauling them then it's just stupid to spend that kind of money. C3 is going to drain your gas mileage.

Once the new engine is dropped in the gas milage really wont matter because it wont be a DD. I am not sure if I want auto or standard. Any suggestions?
So tell me more about the T5.....

T5 is a great manual transmission. You'll probably need a better clutch to handle the power your going to be putting out.

Have no problem changing the clutch. Need to do that anyway. But can the T5 hold a 300 plus hp? What other Mustangs/Fords is it on?

A T5 can handle that yes. The 2.3 WC T5 can be found on 87-88 Turbocoupes, and 87-93 manual 2.3 mustangs
