I know I'm resurrecting this post but there seems to be some really knowledgeable nitrous guys here. I just purchased the NX Express 3V "plate" kit w/ bottle heater/purge and plan to run a 50/75 shot.

Will this require a new tune, colder plugs, etc? I'd heard you can run a small shot like that without making any changes to the current tune..

im not 100% bout with 3v but with 99-04 its genrally stated the 75 doenst need a tune so i dont see why you would have a problem. i have also heard of people running 125 untuned all together and doing fine and then others have a dyno tune and **** goes wrong on a 100 shot

if i was you id invest in a tuner. (dont you already have one to fix speedo or did you just get speed cal?)

and what most ppl dont have that IMO is VERY important is a wideband. thier about 260 bucks but if it was for it id be ****ed. first time i sprayed a 100 shot, even tuned to pulled timing, my WOT a/f was VERY VERY VERY lean. if it wasnt for the wideband i wouldnt have known this and continued spraying

and bout the plugs. ngk tr6

Thanks bro... yeah, I just had cams installed so I got a great dyno tune. My a/f was min 12.6 and max 13.3 (12.8 avg) on the dyno run. And I use a diablosport predator tuner. I'd always heard that you didn't need to change your tune for (up to) a 100 shot which is all I ever plan to run.... (that is.. PLAN to run)

I plan to purchase this nitrous controller and a wideband. I think I'll be ok..

Oh yeah,, we used autolite HT0's in the 3V for boosted motors. They're a heat range colder. not too many plug options in the 3V world...
