I also have the ticking noise as described coming from the driver's side! Mine didn't start until I had a Bassani Catted X put on.

I am positive it is an exhaust leak, as I can smell the gas fumes when I stand near the wheel on the driver's side. It will be going into an exhaust shop here soon, and if they cannot fix it I will stick the stock mid-pipe back on and see what happens.

Mine is only noticeable under load, and even then it has to be above 3.5k RPM, otherwise I cannot hear it.
