Default What can be done for a safe 400~500 rwhp daily driver ?

hi all,

a friend of mine wants to F/I his car he wants to go 400 to 500 rwhp for a daily driver.. he was thinking about a procharger but i wanted him to go twinscrew.. IMO twin screw kicks ass... anyway what setup do u think he should go with...

does he need to exchange the internals ? injectors ? plugs ? and this stuff ?

please list the stuff and the site that can sell them in packages.. the car is a 2003 MT GT convertable..

if he sticks around 400rwhp all he'll need is a complete S/C kit. supporting bolt on mods owuldn't be bad either

ive been thinking getting a centrifugal supercharger rather than a twin screw. for street driving (from what i hear) a centri is better because the boost doesnt kick in till about 3000 rpms which means you wont be putting so much strain on your internals unless ur racing. with a twin screw you'll be making boost through pretty much your entire rpm range so its constant wear and tear on the engine. but if u go with centri then if u drive normally and shift at like 2.5k then u never get the boost or rather the wear and tear that comes with it. so to answer ur question, a good daily driver than can still kill on the street: get a centrifugal supercharger (procharger or vortech) and a few supporting mods and u can reach ur goal while not messing up ur regular driving.

the stock rods are rated at 450 hp, so 400 whp would be about the "SAFE" limit, legally. I have buddies with 500 whp on stock bottom end and run em hard. I think the 450 hp rating on the rods is for legal issues, but I have also know people to blow thier motors with only 350 whp, so as long as the driver is good the motor should hold up to 400 whp. BUT if your friend is so concerned about safety, stop at 400. Thats roughly 450 hp at the crank and rods. Could also go nitrous with full bolt ons, thats what I intend to do. That way im runnin maybe 325 at the crank, til I hit the button, doesnt get much safer than that!

there's a little more to it than that 02stangguy..

With any supercharger you'll need a different fuel pump, injectors, plugs, and a good tune..

I see.. well u know whats cool ? this friend trusts me so much that i am the brain and he is the wallet.. so what were gona do is get a complete procharger setup ( is the tune incuded? because its hard to dyno tune a mustang in UAE everyones an ass and tinking he's a gear head) well get bigger injectors ,colder plugs. and as for a fuel pump how about a fuel pump for a terminator will it be fine ?

as to get those few more hp's what do u guys think of coil on plugs and racing wires ?
