Default Top Speed / Removing Speed Limiter

Ok, before i get bashed, im just curious lol. I know the top speed before the limiter hits is 115 MPH. I was just curious what our cars will run if the limiter is removed. Again, im NOT doing this im just curious. I heard our drive shaft isnt capable of anything higher than 115 MPH but not sure if it is true or not. So, does anyone know what our cars Top Speed is with the limiter removed?

If not, any guesses?

If my driveshaft grenades at 115 mph this will be the FIRST AND LAST Ford product I ever buy.

i have an 07 v6 with a pony package and decided that the integra heckling me needed to be shut up. so we raced on the interstate and i topped out at 120, then the ever-present governor kicked in and shot me back down. i still beat him though.

how do you know. Our governor kicks in at 115 MPH and gauges only go to 120.

the gauge hit 120 before it went down. i mean, the gauge might have been incorrect, but it literally hit the other side before i felt the pedal give way and the car slow down.

i was on the parkway a few months ago the last time i actually ran my car hard i was racing another 4.0 stang and supercharged cobalt. my car hit 118,119 and didnt give way just stuck there gas didnt stop giving just wouldnt go any higher. seems to hit 120 pretty easy so i would say 135/140
