Just purchased a 2008 V-6 w/ the auto tranny. This wil be my daily driver. I'm looking for performance mod suggestions that can be performed with out taking the car out of service for days at a time. I already have a K&N aircharger on order. Any other suggestions?

well, if your talking just about performance and not appearance...
the best bang for your buck is a CAI/Tune. heres why....
1. you can install it yourself in 30 minutes
2. you gain about 20-25 rear wheel horsepower
3. transmission will shift like a new car
that drop-in k&n you just ordered really wont do anything... been there, done that... (that reminds me... what did I ever do with that thing?? hmmm
intake/tune, vmptuning.com can help you out there, and an axle back exhaust, i like the MRT for sound, but a manual GT take off muffler will net you the same gains.
after that gears and an LSD (if your not going to super or turbo charge id recomend 4.10s and a detroit true trac)

Get a tuner from bama/vmp/evo/brenspeed (whatever is closer to you).
Axle back exhaust of your choice.
New takeoff leather.
17" pony package rims and tires if you don't already have them.
K&N aircharger is a good intake so stick with that if you already got it.

No chips just a hand held device that reflashes your computer and plugs into your cars computer port located under the steering column on the dash. Takes about 5 min. to reflash and makes a BIG difference in the way the car runs & shifts. vmptuning.com has the X-cal for $379.00. As for the muffler shop question, probably not but GT mufflers are easy to find online for cheap money. Its not that hard to install yourself either. The silencer is the box that the stock air filter is in.
