Default 1974 351W with 302 crank and rods???

I got a 351W 74 block engine number D4** Was going to keep this for a spair block but my little brother might be buying a rolling chassis. I thought about making this 351W a 393 stroker. Is there any step by step build ups on this type of project? I bought the 351w for 150bucks fresh from a machine shop everything but pistons. I also bought a 302 from a 97 1/2 explorer for 150bucks gtp heads and gt40 intake. I was going to take the guts from the 302 put in the 351w. Were trying to build a complete motor for around 1grand to run mid 11's around 450hp. We will probably add a 351W victor jr intake with a 750 demon carb, and a 6somthing lift cam with long tube heads and 3 inch exhaust.

Your not using a stock 302 crank and rod in a windsor block anytime soon. A 393 is nothing more than a 200 dollar 3.85 cast crank, stock 5.956 windsor rod and stock 1.600 compression height 302 piston. The 302 crank and rod is useless in a windsor build

uhh wheelliftpony , you have supposedly a badass 408 and such and dont know that the 302 and 351 w mains are different size for one and that the 302 is a 8.2 deck and 351 w a 9.480 and 9.5

wtf....?

I know that was kinda dumb question but thought I'd ask anyway. I for some reason though you could use 302 crank n pistons with 351 rods. Wasn't thinking I guess. And my 408 build is close to being done. A guys supposed to call me back from florida has a set of 225 afr heads. That's all I need for the motor. I also decided to go with a power glide and a 2peice converter. Ill get more pics when the motors complete. And I never said I know it all we all screw up questions everyonce n a while. But tanks

I haven't looked but where can I pick up the crank for $200? I just might build me a 393 quicker than I thought.

So a 351w block doesnt need to machined to make a 393? Does fordstrokers sell this rotating assembly?

EDIT: I see you sell a much better rotating assembly to make a 393...
http://www.fordstrokers.com/ford-str...ating-kit.html

but do you sell the crank by itself?

You have unrealistic expectations.

Not trying discourage you and not saying it can't be done but somebody will be giving away some good parts to make that happen.
